Thai player wins on the LPGA in America

20 year old Chanettee Wannasaen from Chiang Mai won the Dana Open on the LPGA tour in Ohio winning $262,500.

While naturally everyone’s focus was on Xander Schauffele’s Open win at Royal Troon, TV viewers around the world were also able to see the skill of another Thai winning on the LPGA.

Xander Schauffele

Chanettee who had an agonizing wait over 24 minutes on the 18th tee while two groups ahead finished,  just showed the mindset of this Thai youngster and how she has  progressed to become 14th on the LPGA tour’s CME Globe.

However perhaps the biggest winner this week was golf itself, with Royal Troon showing the world that links golf is what playing the game is all about, come wind or rain!
